Seri Menanti Royal Palace is situated in Sri Menanti Town of Negeri Sembilan. The palace is made from Eusidero xylon zwageri wood (kayu belian) without the use of nails. Built in 1902, it has the uniqueness of Minangkabau architecture characteristic features. The building black colour gives it the air of elegance prominence when seen from a distant. It is 65 feet tall with 99 wooden stilts at the height of 65 feet. Various flowery designs were carved onto the ‘belian' wood in building the palace. Once the official palace of the Raja is now a Special Royal Museum. It is open to the general public. Those that wishes to know more about the Royal families should here for a visit. There are varieties of display including firearms, costumes, and documents relating to the Royal bloodline.
